AR State Fair

We went to the fair Sunday afternoon and at first Jonas was not in a good mood. He ended up taking a nap while we were there. When he woke up, he nibbled on some chocolate covered banana and was in a much better mood. All we did was eat, eat, eat! No rides this year. Maybe next time!

Also on Sunday, Jonas turned 10 mths old. Some of his favs are his swing in the backyard, his new choo-choo train that sings, scooting around all over the floor, his lion toy, pulling the DVD's off the shelf, getting his teeth brushed (loves it) & Millie. Since Jonas loves Millie so much, we have decided to do Jonas's first birthday theme with dogs. It should be fun! Also, Jonas has started eating much more textured foods besides his formula. He doesn't eat food for a particular meal, but will eat in between his bottles. He likes yogurt, spaghetti, rice cakes, ice cream (his really fav), sweet tater, green beans, and pretty much anything else you feed him. He tried chicken salad and cheese soup at a restaurant on Monday. He thought that was good too.

Jonas has been scooting on his tummy and pulling himself with his arms and legs. He will crawl for the first couple of times and then fall on his tummy and take off. On Saturday, he officially crawled across the living room floor without scooting on his tummy. Since then, he has gone back to his tummy. One issue at home, is that he slides on the hard-woods but he gets anywhere he wants to go by scooting. He goes from room-to-room.

Jonas is sleeping through the night very well and has started going to bed earlier than 10:30p. Last night he was asleep by 9:30 and slept until 8:30 this morning. That was really nice. He usually takes 2 naps per day if he is at home with daddy. At daycare, he might sneak in a quick nap, but usually not. Jonas gets 4-5 bottles a day with 6oz of formula and oatmeal mixed with it.
He really enjoys getting a bath and has started to play with his ducks in the bath tub. He giggles at just about anything and is also warming up to people better. He can be really shy at first and might even cry when meeting someone new.

Okay, this is all for now! Enjoy your week!

New toys & swing!

This weekend my nana & pops came to see me all the way from Gulfport, MS. When they come they bring me lots of goodies. I wanted to share with you my new toy train and swing.

I also got this blue mat to help me crawl. On the hard woods, my legs slide and go straight out. Right now I am crawling/scooting with my arms and rolling where I need to go. At my 9mth appt 2 wks ago, I weighed 21lbs 9oz and was 29 in. in length. I am having a time eating textures, but doing much better. I have an appt to see Speech Therapy in November to do an oral eval to make sure everything in my mouth is okay. My mommy now thinks I am just a VERY picky eater. I will keep you posted on my eating progress. I have tried lots of things the past 2 wks, that would make you proud. Some of my favs are spaghetti, rice cakes, and of course ice cream.

Thanks for coming to see me this weekend Nana & Pops. I enjoyed your company and look forward to you visiting again. Derek & Daniel, YOU missed a great time!!!!!!!!
