jonas' hair-cut

Jonas actually had his hair cut done the same day as the pumpkin patch but it has taken me a while to post it. This is his first professional hair-cut where he didn't cry and came out with a cute boy cut! The last pic you can see where it tickles him when she cuts around his ears!

7 things you may not know about me.....

So here goes... not typical of me to write my heart or to tell much about me, but I got tagged by a fabulous friend and thought it would be fun since I have some time left of my Sunday night.

7 things you may not know... but some of you do because I am an open book.

1) I vacuum almost every day of the week. I usually leave out one day. The kids expect it every morning after their breakfast. What can I say, I do bleed OCD at times :)

2) I throw out clothes ALL the time. Meaning I give them away to my aunt's shelter in MS. I usually have her a couple of bags the 6 times I see her per year. Infact, last night I filled a 30 gallon trash bag of clothes and shoes that I no longer wear. Okay, okay... I am real tired of hanging on to the 25 pairs (no kidding) of pants that my stinkin' rear-end will not fit in anymore! And to add to that, my hubs has more clothes than me. It sounds like I have a lot, but I really don't. Just constantly gettin' rid of stuff.

3) I despise cooking! There are times when I really enjoy it but for the most part I don't like it and rarely do it. My mom cooks for us or we go out for most of our evening meals. Crazy I know! Just an example, we went out Friday night, Sat lunch, Sat night, actually cooked for our church group Sunday, and my mom provided dinner Sunday night.

4) I love Mississippi! I always will.

5) I have an obsession with bleach. I bleach my counter tops, tub, toys, and clothes. Not that it's not normal to do that, but I use the stuff on a daily basis. I have Jason obsessed too! My house is always smelling of bleach.

6) I am really affected by scent. It seems that things have to smell good for me to enjoy them. I know this sounds weird, but if I am not feeling good, something that smells good can cheer me up. When Jason and I went to Nashville a month ago, I went and got potpourri spray for our room. I have plug-ins in almost every room. BTW, I like Febreeze better that Bath&Body Works plug-ins.

7) I hate sports, except the Olympics. My hubs even got me football instructions/guidelines so I might possibly understand the event since it's on our TV for most of the fall. That was a christmas gift to be infact.

Pumpkin Patch

Memories of our day:
  • Warmer than expected to be mid October.
  • Reese really didn't like her dress, especially the ribbons.
  • Jonas & Reese had coordinating outfits. Something I love, but rarely do.
  • We actually rode to the pumpkin patch on a REAL hayride.
  • Reese kept throwing hay out of the trailor.
  • Jonas screamed (for fun) on the hayride while the other kids were quiet and still.
  • The kiddos picked out their very own pumpkin.
  • Lots of swing sets to play on.
  • Jonas fell in love with the slide.
  • Jonas slid down the slide about 100 times!
  • Ate a corn dog and fresh squeezed lemonade.
  • Swatted bees..... they were everywhere.
  • Reese called all the animals "dogs" and the chickens "ducks".
  • Jonas (again) screamed at the animals... for fun!
  • Daddy taught Reese how to swing all by herself.
  • SuSu captured many pics with her camera.
  • Jason & I rode a see-saw... something I have not done in years.
  • SuSu even rode the see-saw.
  • Couldn't believe how much Jonas has grown in one year.
  • Just plain ole fun.
  • It was all free (except the pumpkins & the corn-dog $14)

Gene and Regina (great friends from MS)

Our dear friend Andrea married Cooper on October 4 in Nashville, TN. We had the honor to attend their wedding, KID FREE! Woooo Hooooo! Thanks to the sisters in MS for keeping the kiddos for 4 days. By the way, Jonas and Reese had a blast in MS going to the Buffalo farm and visiting with Uncle Bud and Mamaw Dorothy. Not once did the kids ask for their mommy or daddy. About our trip..... we left on a Thursday and had dinner that night with a special friend, Bekah Gannon. Thanks Bekah for the fellowship and cookie-dough egg roll. We had some good convos that evening!!!!! After Jason did business on Friday, I had lunch with Jenni Manfre. It was so good to see you Jenni and I loved our visit even if it was short. That night we had fondue with Gene & Regina and it was great convo as well. Saturday was the wedding and it was wonderful to visit with good ole friends from high school days. Love you girls! That night we had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with Josh and Lisa and we laughed and laughed over our meal talking about old times. We headed home that Sunday and picked the kids up in Memphis.
p.s. More pics to come from Jason meeting some of the Titan football players!
