Happy Birthday Gramm!
Here is the birthday boy getting ready to blow out his 2 candles!!

Beautiful Sydney holding her lil duck. She took her first swim at Gramm's party and loved the water!
Baby Hagan in his adorable swimmie attire (terry cloth onesie, just for the pool)! He even got to stick his feet in the water too!
For all you that know how Jonas is scared of water, he eagerly put his feet in and acted like he wanted to get all the way in. I am hoping his fear is slowly fading!

Our trip to MISSISSIPPI
FIRST STOP: Uncle Buddy's house
Jonas is standing on top of Jason shortly after we arrived..... now who is the boss of this situation?? That's what I thought!
Uncle Buddy meets Reese. We made her a pallet on top of the kitchen table. She loved all the attention!
SECOND STOP: Mamaw Dorothy's house
This is my grandmother who is 86 years old and loves to play dominoe's with her girlfriends!

THIRD STOP: The White's house

Amanda with Reese. Thank you so much for taking care of my babies when I couldn't see on Saturday. You did a great job and will make great parents too :)
By the way..... Reese scratched my cornea on Friday, but didn't think much about it until I woke up in the middle of the night and could barely open my eyes to nurse Reese. When I got up Saturday morning, my eyes would not open for more than a few seconds and kept watering as if I was looking right at the sun. I went to the doc and had a cornea abrasion and got some eye drops along with a patch. It was a night-mare for a few hours, but was much better by Saturday evening. Of course this would happen and make our trip even more fun and exciting :)

Jonas & Sadie
My Aunt Deb came to see Reese and me and she brought her little girl-dog Sadie! I love to play with Sadie because she is just my size. Here I am trying to get in Sadie's crate, but I barely fit. And then here we are looking out the window watching the squirrels play. Thank you Aunt Deb for hanging out with me and reading me books! You did a great job with Reese too. I love for you & Su-Su to spend time with me together. You make a great team! Here I am with Su-Su too and she is reading me one of my fav books..... The Very Busy Bugs. I love you both very much! You really helped my mommy out this wkend and while she was at work. Hugs, Jonas

I get new ears!
We think we have the answer to our hearing issue with Jonas! We went to Arkansas Children's Hospital today for a hearing screen and speech eval. The first part of his hearing screen was to find out how much fluid he has on his ears. He didn't mind his left ear being tested, but cried during the right ear and apparently the machine doesn't work when a child is crying. The audiologist was able to see that both ear-drums are retracted, which is caused from chronic fluid or ear infections (to my knowledge). The right ear is worse which makes sense why Jonas didn't want it touched.
The next part we all three (jason, jonas, and me) went into a sound booth where Jonas turned his head towards different sounds in the booth. There were light up toys that made noise and the audiologist also said his name on the left and right sides. The first set of names and noises were a tad bit louder than normal and Jonas reacted to all the sounds. The next set was at normal conversation level and he didn't look to his right side when she called his name. I was sitting behind Jonas and could hear the lady's voice just fine. She was calling his name over and over through the right speaker and he didn't turn his head. Tears streamed down my face realizing that he could not hear well in the R ear.
After that, the audiologist canceled our speech eval since Jonas apparently was not hearing well, and made us an appt with the ENT clinic for an ear eval. She got us in quickly and we met with a doctor. He said Jonas's ears actually looked decent as far as fluid goes, but could see where the ear-drum was "retracted and thick".... apparently signs of chronic fluid on ears. He wanted to get an X-ray to check his adenoids, so we went there next. Doc told us that Jonas's adenoids were "100% obstructed and HUGE". The next decision was choosing a surgery date to put in tubes and take out adenoids.
SO, the big day is August 9. He will be under general sedation and the procedure lasts 20-30 minutes. Our doc has been doing this for 27 years, so we are extremely confident with his work.
By the way, Jonas did great today with our 4hr doc visits, waiting in the waiting rooms, and playing with all the toys. He seemed to really enjoy the attention and playing with everything he got his hands on.
We look forward to Jonas hearing clearly and imitating sounds and words!!!!
